Project Overview

The evolution in electricity markets brought on by new technology (wind, solar, batteries) and new regulations (GHG policy, renewable portfolio standards) will require an economic policy framework which complements this evolution and ensures that we do not suffer from unintended consequences.  Our work focusses on Alberta's electricity grid and local/regional deployment of renewable energy sources and storage options and the policies which complement those technologies.
