For households with electric devices, renewable solar power generation, energy storage systems and electric vehicles, we consider utility operating expenses, including power loss and energy consumption cost as the objective function. For customers, we consider the cost of electricity, including battery degradation. To investigate the uncertainty of the devices, a bottom‐up approach is proposed to develop a random device usage model for analyzing customers' uncertain behaviour. Besides, a random renewable power generation model and an electric vehicle random driving model are implemented. The proposed approach is implemented with OpenMP to simulate the decentralized process on a multi‐core CPU while reducing the computational burden. A case study based on the IEEE 33‐bus distribution system with different scenarios is used to evaluate the performance of the proposed approach. The simulation results show that by introducing an optimal household operation schedule, the expense of distribution system utility company can be reduced in which both customers and operators can benefit from the optimization of the system schedules.T06-P02 University of Alberta | Publication | 2021-03-12 | | A scalable blockchain-based smart contract model for decentralized voltage stability using sharding techniqueT06-P08 University of Alberta | Publication | 2022-08-22 | | Decentralized Coordination of Electric Vehicle Charging Stations for Active Power CompensationT06-P02 University of Alberta | Publication | 2017-01-01 | | Ccpa: Coordinated cyber-physical attacks and countermeasures in smart gridT06-P02 University of Alberta | Publication | 2017-01-01 | | Distributed Economic Dispatch in Microgrids Based on Cooperative Reinforcement LearningT06-P02 University of Alberta | Publication | 2018-01-01 | Weirong Liu, Peng Zhuang, Liang, H., Jun Peng, Zhiwu Huang | A novel node selection algorithm for collaborative beamforming in wireless sensor networksPaper Information: X. However, the increasing penetration of uncertain renewable generation such as wind power brings new challenges to CCHP‐based microgrids energy management. In this study, the authors propose a two‐stage multi‐period distributionally robust energy management model for CCHP‐based microgrids, and this model considers the non‐anticipativity of uncertainty in dispatch process. A second‐order conic representable ambiguity set is designed to capture the uncertainty of wind power. Based on linear decision rule approximation, the proposed problem is transformed into a tractable mixed‐integer second‐order conic programme problem. Case studies and comparison experiments are conducted in the Matlab environment with real‐world data to validate the performance of the proposed approach. Particularly, the proposed method achieves a less conservative solution and smaller cost compared with a robust optimisation method with the same reliability guarantee. In addition, it is more reliable than the deterministic method which does not consider uncertainty.T06-P02 University of Alberta | Publication | 2020-07-10 | | A three-layer stochastic energy management approach for electric bus transit centers with PV and energy storage systemsT06-P01 University of Alberta | Publication | 2019-09-15 | | Cyber-Security of Smart Microgrids: A SurveyT06-P01, T06-M01 University of Alberta | Publication | 2020-12-23 | | Blockchain for cyber security in smart grid: a comprehensive surveyT06-P08 University of Alberta | Publication | 2021-01-01 | | EAI SGSC 2022 - 2nd EAI International Conference on Smart Grids for Smart Cities Invited.
